Shuttles from San Juan del Sur
We run our own shuttles to the places people actually leave for: the colonial cities, the Managua airport, the Ometepe ferry, the surf towns up the coast, and the Costa Rica border. We pick you up at the hostel — no terminals, no transfers, no waiting for a bus to fill up.

Why book with us instead of at the bus terminal
- We collect you at the hostel. No walking to a terminal with your board and your bags at 5am.
- Direct, no transfers. Public routes to León or Granada usually mean changing in Rivas or Managua, with waits in between.
- We leave when you need to leave. Flights out of Managua are often early; we plan the departure around your flight, not around a timetable.
- Space for boards and luggage. Chicken buses charge extra for boards when they take them at all.
- You book with a person. One WhatsApp message, confirmed by us, paid on the day.
- You know what vehicle you're getting. Cheaper fares elsewhere often mean an older vehicle, no air conditioning and as many people as fit. Ask anyone quoting you a price which vehicle it is and how many are travelling — then compare.
If you're counting every dollar, the local bus is always cheaper and we'll happily tell you which one to take — ask at reception. Our shuttles are for when the time, the luggage or the early flight matter more than the fare.
Paying for your shuttle
Pay in cash on the day, in dollars or córdobas. We use a rate of C$37.10 per dollar — slightly above the official C$36.6243, because that's what it costs us to buy dollars here. If you'd rather check the official rate first, our money guide has a converter.

Strandfahrten müssen am Vortag gebucht werden. Am selben Tag geht es nicht — Fahrer und Fahrzeug müssen im Voraus organisiert werden. Dazu entscheiden die Pisten: in der Regenzeit kann ein Strand, der gestern erreichbar war, heute dicht sein, und wir sagen dir dann ehrlich Bescheid.

We're one block from the beach, in the centre of town — an easy base before an early departure.
